We did the most dreamy Chicago City Engagement session with two of my closest friends, MacKenzie and Brett, & it was suhhhh good!We honest to god started off on the wrong foot. like not. even. joking.
Okay, so, i’ll set the scene here: we drive 4 hours to Chicago for the weekend to shoot this engagement session that we have had planned for MONTHS. We get to Chicago, check in to our hotel, stroll around the city + have a drink. We go to head for bed and Mac was going to look for her make-up wipes in her make up bag (keep in mind, Mac is the make-up QUEEN), and she couldn’t find her make-up bag. Long story short, she left her make-up bag at home. Brett and Mac’s brother, Dawson, drive and meet each other halfway to get the precious make-up bag at 11pm. The next day, everything is going great! We are headed to Mac’s hair appointment — booked for the wrong date. Luckily, they were able to squeeze her in to get it styled + we were good to go. The next dilemma for the day: the rain. The rain held off for us all day long & the session was going ahhhhmazing. it started POURING right as we were wrapping things up.
Seriously, the most memorable and fun! As we were walking back to our car, Mac said “can we play Fearless & you film us dancing in the rain?!” Ummmm OF COURSE! Straight out of a movie if ya ask me. Needless to say, I am OBSESSED with the images from their engagement session.
